Group Meeting January 19th
Group meeting ~ On January 19th at 7 PM we will have an Arizona Women Against Registry group meeting to put the final touches on our approach and presentation the next day during our visit to the legislative body and our event planned that evening. We will possibly be making signs for the next day during the meeting.
On January 20th please join us at the capitol where we will have a display on the grounds and walk the halls of the senate and house offices leaving WAR brochures and an invitation to a Meet and Greet that evening.
Meet & Greet Invitations will also go out to the ACLU, Public Defenders and Sex Crimes attorneys in the area. We plan to discuss the collateral damage of a registry and restrictions on our registrant families, share research data and options. Please note that content and discussion about the causes of WAR shall be polite, respectful, concise and truthful. We are happy to answer questions or get additional information if requested.
Please be there and dressed appropriately. We cannot be responsible if the scenario should arise regarding your being in the presence of a felon due to probation. If you are in that position please consider sending a family member or two or a sponsor to represent you.

Arizona MVD a Bit Unusual
Make sure you know current requirements. You can go to your Sheriff's Office website to see if there is new information there. If so, we suggest you do a screen print and save it. Call your registry office to get clarification on any questions you might have. Document the date, time, who you spoke with and their instructions regarding any address change, vehicle, employment, travel dates if required, etc.
Keep in mind if you are required to update your drivers license annually through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) you should contact them for their status.
